上善若水。
水 善利 万物 而不争， 处 众人之所
恶， 故 几于 道。
居，善地；心，善渊；与，善仁；言，善信；政，善治；事，善能；动，善时。夫唯不争，故无尤。

Translation & Meaning

至高的善行就像水一樣。水善於滋養萬物卻從不爭功奪利，甘願停留在眾人所嫌棄的低窪之處，因此最接近於「道」。 立身處世善於選擇謙下之地，存心涵養善於保持淵深寧靜，待人接物善於懷抱仁厚慈愛，言語交流善於恪守真誠信用，治理政事善於條理清平，擔當事務善於發揮所長，付諸行動善於順應恰當時機。 正因為從不與人爭競，所以沒有過失與怨尤。

Commentary

青禾散人評注：水之七善（地、淵、仁、信、治、能、時）乃道家修行在人間的完整落地。水柔順卻無可阻擋，因其順勢而下、利物不爭。
