勇于敢则杀，勇于不敢则活。此两者，或利或害。天之所恶，孰知其故？是以圣人犹难之③。天之道，不争而善胜，不言而善应，不召而自来，繟然而善谋。天网恢恢，疏而不失。
Translation & Meaning
一味逞強果敢妄為就會招致殺身之禍，懂得敬畏剋制、敢於不妄為反而能夠保全生機。這兩種勇，一種有益、一種有害。上天所厭棄的逞強妄作，誰能完全測透其中的深意呢？連聖人對此都深懷審慎敬畏。 自然天道的運行：從不與萬物爭競卻無往不勝，從不發聲言語卻分毫不爽地感應因果，無需呼召便依時自至，看似舒緩寬綽卻籌劃得周密無遺。 天道法則之網廣大無邊，網眼雖然看似寬疏，卻從來不會漏失任何一絲因果。

Commentary
青禾散人評注：「勇於不敢」是極高修養：敢於拒絕誘惑、敢於在眾人狂熱時按下暫停鍵。「天網恢恢，疏而不失」，自然規律雖從容不迫，卻從不落空。
